Thomas Dowd Rauffenbart

 
 

Thomas Dowd Rauffenbart worked primarily in the advertising field for the major Philadelphia agencies of his time: NW Ayer, Lewis & Gilman, Grey & Rogers and Weightman. He won several awards for illustration from the Art Director’s Club of Philadelphia.


Thomas was a highly-skilled figure draughtsman and he excelled at drawing horses. He

did many illustrations for Keystone, Liberty and Delaware race tracks. He also worked on corporate accounts for Bell Telephone and The Franklin Mint.
